Success of Disability Awareness Day marked

A very special friendship between Warrington Disability Partnership and Walton Hall and Gardens has been celebrated. A new plaque has been officially unveiled in the grounds of Walton Hall to mark nearly 30 years of Disability Awareness Day (DAD) being held at the venue.

Exciting news about the Red Arrows air display team for DAD Virtual. The Red Arrows are often a proud feature of our DAD live event, displaying their unique aerobatic skills in the sky over our DAD live day at Walton Hall gardens. This year for DADVirtual the Red Arrows are supplying bespoke footage of their aerobatics and this will be available to view on our DADVirtual website on the day, 25th October 2020.

Grant Confirmed From the Coronavirus Community Support Fund

Dave Thompson MBE DL, DADV2020 Event Co-ordinator and Chief Executive at Warrington Disability Partnership said, “Every member of team and our partners were ecstatic at the news that they had secured a £40,000 grant from the Coronavirus Community Support Fund, distributed by The National Lottery Community Fund”. He added, “Huge thanks to the Government for launching this initiative, without it and the support we have received from our sponsors, this year’s event wouldn’t be possible”.
